Cut Copy – Bright Like Neon Love (Modular) album review

This LP’s inner sleeve boasts what looks like the bored doodlings of a music-obsessed schoolboy: naïve biro sketches of artists as varied as Giorgio Moroder, Guided By Voices, Chic, Fleetwood Mac and The KLF, headlined ‘Kings & Queens Of Pop”. So it’s little wonder that the Mylo-endorsed Aussies’ album squelches through melodic electro-pop swampland like an optimistic, wader-wearing Barney Sumner.
